FAQ for Lake Wilhelm Marina in Sandy Lake Pennsylvania:
Great place to fish, rented a pontoon boat and the staff was very nice
Very friendly and helpful owners. Forgot my life vest and whistle and they generously loaned me one for the afternoon! Nice selection of snacks and supplies!
Pontoon rates are great, however be sure you won’t get rained out or stormed on. Unfortunately we only got to be out for 1 hour and it still cost us NULL instead of the total amount being divided up by the amount of time actually spent out there. Other than that the place is nice and clean and boats are nice and prices are good.
They were very kind to me. I traveled nearly three hours to fish out of my canoe and as I was ready to launch discovered I had no paddles. I stopped at the marina to buy or rent paddles and he gave them to me to use, no questions asked and no charge. We chatted for a short time and the person there seemed quite personable and positive about the new marina opening. I offered him money for using the paddles and he wouldn’t take it. I bought some snacks and left a reasonable tip. I will stop there again on my next visit.
Nice quiet area and lake. One side had plenty of parking, a large pavilion, and several benches. There was plenty of goose poo everywhere so wash your shoes before you leave lol! The other side was the marina and looked very nice. We stopped to walk the dog and relax before heading to our next destination. I found this to be a low traffic serene site with heron, geese, and great shoreline fishing.
