This was always a good largemouth bass and channel catfish spot when we used to fish here. Just be careful of snakes around the area. There are plenty of good fish to catch in the lake

This is a good place to park when visiting the park. It has easy access to the bike trail and nice views of the lake and downstream. There are a lot of bald eagles around the lake and they can often be seen in this area. There is also a colony of tree swallows at the top of the dam. I’m told the fishing is good in the park also.
Love this part of the trail. Beautiful views of the water. Nice and quiet. Not very many people out at this time of day. Saw two boats in the water. Posted the backbike program something great for kids to do. Will do it myself.
Bathrooms are right by the parking and handicap accessible walk away and parking. Walkway is accessible with stairs as well. It’s a paved walk way for stroller friendly and bicycles.
