Located at 9867 Del Mar Dr in San Ramon, California, Del Mar Dog Park offers a convenient and friendly spot for local dog owners. This neighborhood dog park stands out for its tan bark-covered surface providing a different play experience compared to grassy parks, and is popular with many pet owners in the area. The park remains open dawn to dusk and welcomes dogs of all sizes for off-leash playtime.
Del Mar Dog Park is known for its sociable community of dog owners, especially in the afternoons around 4pm, making it a great place for puppy socialization and connecting with other dog lovers. The park features several water fountains for both humans and dogs, seating with donated outdoor furniture, and is described as clean, well-maintained, and very accessible – including wheelchair-accessible parking. However, due to its moderate size, it can feel a bit crowded with many large dogs. There are no distinct grassy areas but lots of space for your pup to enjoy the outdoors safely.
Dogs seemed to like it. Never been to a dog Park that had no grass and all bark.
Great group of “Dog People” meet there every weekday around 4 pm. My dog is a puppy and the socialization is wonderful!!
A nice little neighborhood dog park tucked away in the high voltage towers. What makes this dog park different is that the ground is covered in tan bark, which is nice for some dogs and their human’s. However, this could be an issue for dogs that run a lot, because they might get splinters in their paws. This facility offers a few water fountains for dog and human consumption as well. It’s not huge, but in most cases it is big enough for your needs. However, if there are more than 8 to 10 larger dogs with balls being thrown around, it will feel a little crowded and confined. On the positive side of things, it has many locally donated used outdoor furniture chairs to allow for the humans to relax..
Great park for playing with my baby. Many dogs show up here and almost all of them are well behaved and friendly. My baby is around 12 lbs but she loves this big park and there’s a lot of balls and toys for her to chew on here. Also the park is very clean and very well maintained.
I love this park it’s the best around!
