Just recently visited park after it rained. Was pretty soggy and muddy. Had a bad experience with a dog owner that could not control her Dalmatian from riding my lab. Every time she would pull it off she would let it go and it kept coming back and did the same. She would do nothing about it. My dog was getting tired of it.after the fifth time it was enough. I pulled her down off twice and she said stop doing that her dog is just a puppy. It was not a puppy and I could tell it hadn’t been fixed. We told her if she couldn’t control it to put it on a leash We go for our dogs to enjoy. We do not want to have to put up with people who don’t care about there’s. We love the park other than this incident
Love the new dog park. Really big separate fenced areas for small dogs under 25 pounds and big dogs. Grass, activity areas, water, bags and some seating in both areas. Restrooms. Most people and dogs are quite friendly. Word of warning, it is often cool and windy, take a jacket.
Laguna Lake Dog Park just got a glow-up, and my dog is now acting like he owns a real estate empire. The new fences? Pristine. The ramps? My pup treats them like the X Games. He’s never looked more majestic than when slow-motion trotting over a tiny wooden bridge like it’s the final scene in a Disney movie.
Gone are the days of sketchy boundaries and mud puddles that doubled as “natural features.” Now, it’s a fully fenced paradise where zoomies are encouraged, and tail wags are basically the local currency. My dog made five new friends within ten minutes—more than I’ve made in the last five years, honestly.
And shoutout to the city for putting in the effort. You didn’t just build a dog park—you built a canine kingdom. If you see a goofy-looking dog doing laps like he’s training for the Olympics, that’s mine. He gives it two paws up.
10/10 would bark again.
Such a great dog park. A true gem. So grateful we found this dog park on our visit to SLO. It has plenty of room to run, grassy area, wood chip area, a couple of ramps to run up and down and plenty of poop bags.
Recently visited the new Laguna Lake Dog Park. What a difference and so nice for the furry four-legged folks. New dog park offers ample room for the pooches to run around and visit with friends. Nice touch is they separated the park for large and small breeds. Definitely recommend the new dog parks to locals and visitors alike.
