Willow Street Frank Bramhall Park is a well-loved community park in San Jose, California, known for its pet-friendly atmosphere and welcoming public spaces. While not a dedicated dog park, it is frequently visited by local dog owners looking for a great place to walk their dogs, enjoy the outdoors, and get some exercise. The park offers plenty of open grassy areas, shaded spots thanks to numerous mature trees, and a peaceful, relaxing vibe that’s perfect for both dog owners and their pets. It’s a favorite spot to walk dogs, run, or just unwind with your furry companion.
The park features a variety of amenities including playgrounds, picnic tables, BBQ spots, basketball and tennis courts, and a large green field great for stretching your legs or enjoying a casual game of fetch. There’s plenty of shade for those sunny days, and you’ll find benches and seating areas scattered throughout for owners to relax while dogs play or rest. Although there’s no designated off-leash or fenced area, the walking paths and open space make it a solid choice for leashed walks and socializing with other local dog lovers. Its location in Willow Glen makes it a gem for San Jose residents in search of a dog-friendly park atmosphere.
My two year old always has a great time here and I like the amount of shade – the play structures are engaging for the kids and the picnic area is clean and cool. I’ve only ever seen the facilities nice and clean, though others may have a different experience. It’s on our regular rotation of local parks and it should be for you, too!
This park is usually busy, and most people park on the street nearby. It’s not very big or beautiful—there aren’t many flowers or trees, and there’s not much greenery. But the park has a lot of useful features.
There are areas for different types of exercise—not just for kids, but also for adults. It’s good for walking, running, and stretching. There are also some playgrounds and barbecue spots. It’s dog-friendly, and sometimes they have live music or small events on weekends.
. It’s more for relaxing or light activities than for nature views.
As a local who lives right next to this park, I can say that this park is wonderful. The playgrounds are amazing for kids and adults to play on. The trees give shade on sunny days, while the massive grassy field is super fun to run around on. The basketball courts are nice and well-maintained, with a streetball game occurring almost every night. The baseball fields are some of the nicest I’ve played on, especially the new grass that was installed. It’s well-kept by thoughtful coaches who love the game. The tennis courts are enormous and have lots of space to play on. The snack shack provides good food and drinks, while the hill behind it is very fun to walk, chill, ride bikes, and play.
This park is great. Has the hill, tennis courts, lots of space, tables, benches.
All around one of my favorite parks around.
This is a great place to walk and soak in the Christmas spirit! The decorations are beautiful, and the streets are filled with people enjoying the festive atmosphere. You’ll see parades, pedicabs (the little trailers pulled by bikes), buses, and even beetle cars adding to the charm. The vibe is very Christmassy, and it’s a perfect spot to enjoy the season. I definitely recommend it
