FAQ for Thousand Oaks Park in San Jose California:
Quiet neighborhood, working water fountain available, swing, benches, dog bags for poopie 🦮🐕🦺
The “tree area” felt quite unique and was rather large. I sat and watched the squirrels run through the branches, leaping like squirrels do from limb to limb, shuttering the branches and causing more leaves to drift slowly down to the already piled ground cover. They chased as if they weren’t being watched. And I watched as if I wasn’t being watched. Memory photo for just that, my memory.Downside, only 2 picnic tables, both in the shade.Noted, much of the park is the unlandscaped “tree area” which is quite unusable for most typical park activities. There were only a few families with small kids at the park, and they were next to us on the playground.
Beautiful peaceful and shady park in the middle of the city. Wear closed toe shoes. We spent a lot of time cleaning out our sandals while checking out the oak trees and the different types of acorns.
Lovely neighborhood park. Open space, shade, benches, picnic tables, playground – has a bit of everything. Would make a trip for it but it would be lovely to live near. Was about a 10 min walk for a dealership on capitol expressway- was great to wait a few hours there instead of at a noisy dealership.
It’s a Friday morning around 11am. No one at the play area except few dogs off leash running on the field nearby. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, however I don’t see any bathrooms here. May come back if nearby.
