FAQ for Almaden Quicksilver County Park in San Jose California:
A beautiful spot for a morning hike! As an outdoor lover, I really enjoyed being surrounded by nature with friends and family. It was my first visit, and although some trails were quite hilly, I managed to finish the hike comfortably, even in running shoes, which I thought would be fine. I’ll definitely be back with proper trail shoes next time!
I was in for a awakening with this place. Was invited from a church group to hike here with few people yet it was cut short then expected. So I went back to continue from where we had left off and DAMN!!! Awesome views of the Guadalupe reservoir, lot of nice shots of the creeks and the trails are really something. It kicked my ass! Ahaha longest trail to take and most I’ve had to endure trailing along. The sights are really awesome!!
Awesome place to hike!!! Trails are a bit difficult for beginners (especially Deep Gulch Trail). Plenty of history and cool things to see!!!
MAJOR TICK ALERT!!!!Went back to hike and came home with a tick attached to my ankle and an hour later another one crawling out of my hamper.____________________________A very nice park with multiple entrances and lots of trails. Some trails are bike friendly and all trails are dog -friendly (on leash). Enjoy the views and the refreshing air.
Excellent county park. The trails r well-maintained. Many of the trails are paved and quite wide. There are trails for all levels. There are a mix of shaded and exposed trails. Some nice open views.
