Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Mission Creek Dog Park, also known as Mission Bay Dog Park, is a popular off-leash destination for dog owners seeking a dog park in San Francisco, California. Conveniently located near the 465-479 Berry St area, this pet-friendly spot provides a mix of gravel and AstroTurf surfaces, plenty of benches for seating, and is set in a quieter section compared to other nearby parks. The park is wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for all dog owners and their furry companions.
Noted for its spacious layout, Mission Creek Dog Park includes helpful amenities like dog waste bags, trash bins, and a water fountain for pups. Owners will appreciate the relative quiet, less-crowded atmosphere, and unique landscaping, offering an open space for fetch and play without being overrun by crowds. While the ground can be somewhat dusty and parking may be tricky due to the one-way street maze, the location remains one of the few off-leash options within a five-mile radius, making it a valuable resource for local dog lovers.
Could use some maintenance. Is quite dusty. 1 smallish stainless steel water bowls is in direct sun.
I gave this dog park a 4-star rating because of the Sandy dirt with rocks and the AstroTurf. I feel that AstroTurf isn’t the best idea for a dog park I did smell urine near the AstroTurf.
Also called Mission Bay Dog Park on Google. This is a well-maintained dog park, quieter and bigger than the nearby one on Channel Street. The landscaping is more interesting than some other parks. There are lots of benches for sitting, a good water fountain, and dog waste bags available.
If in the area this is the only dog park with in 5 mile radius. The ground is gravel so in my opinion not the best for your pup to run in and right in the middle of the park there is some kind of cement square probably for underground sewers or something plus not to mention the trains that go by every 20 min or so since it’s right next to a rail road. The park it self is fairly small. If u have any other options to take your pup to I would do that this park is definitely not the place to go to. But if it makes the your pup happy sometimes that’s all it maters…
Nice spacious park and less dogs compared to the dog park down the street. If you want to play fetch with your dog and not be bombarded with other dogs, this is your place.
Pro-tip if you’re coming here by car: take whatever available parking space you see because the street this park is at leads you into a one-way maze that will make you U-turn for another mile.
It’s a bit dusty when the dogs run around so please where your mask!
There are poop bags in case you need them and a doggy fountain as well.
There is a nice community park nearby as well if you and your pup are looking to cool down after the park.
