I took my dog George here as part of our cross country road trip. I’m trying to get him to a dog park in each state and plan on taking a trip with him each year. This was easily one of our top spots and he had an absolute blast. There is plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. If you live in the area or are just passing through it definitely worth bringing your furbaby to if you have one.

Usually nice large place to /socialize run your pup. Careful mid day with the dog walkers bringing 10+ dogs and not always watching all of them. Occasional aggressive/ reactive dogs so you have to be vigilant. Otherwise it’s a beautiful area in GG park.

Too many dog walkers with at least 5 dogs each. Some of the dogs are aggressive.
If you like the smell of pee lingering around then this park is for you.

Decent size, separated areas for large and small dogs, artificial grass, sand pools, logs all the things dogs would love. Our dogs love it, we go there at least twice a week.

Tried out the dog park on 5/30/25. It was a warm day. It is Large gated dog park with 2 separate area for small and large dogs. There is section of artificial grass and sand area for dogs to play and run. Even though it is located in the golden gate park there seems to be no shade for the dogs and the sand got too hot for our dog. He didn’t seem to enjoy the park and was panting heavily. Wish they would have created the park by the trees. It maybe too hot for dogs especially in summer months.
