Butcher Town Dog Run: A Hidden Gem Dog Park in San Francisco, California

Located at 98 Jennings St, San Francisco, CA 94124, the Butcher Town Dog Run is a well-maintained, fully enclosed space that’s perfect for San Francisco dog owners seeking a safe spot for their pets to exercise and socialize. While it can be a little tricky to find, aiming for the parking entrance across from the local nursery will set you on the right track. The park is surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees, providing a naturally shaded and scenic environment. A unique feature is the mixture of dirt slopes and hilly areas, which offer a natural obstacle course experience, adding to your pup’s excitement during every visit.

Nice area to walk your dog or bird watch with a large fully enclosed dog run.

It is a little difficult to find. Just look for the nursery on the left and the parking entrance is directly across the street from it.

The area is well maintained. The dog enclosure is safe. There are no separate areas for sizes of dogs. A large dog jumped on my dog’s back causing a problem for her. For that reason I won’t let her off lead there if other larger dogs are in the area.

The hiking path is nice to walk your dog on lead.
