Incredible dog park and I’m not just saying that because we’re visiting from AZ with our beagle and walked into the monthly Regal Beagle of SD meetup 😂 Maybe I am…It’s huge, has 2 dog areas fenced in, and so much park space that’s not fenced.

This is a simple and convenient roadside park. There’s usually no problem finding parking, which makes it an easy stop. The park has several picnic tables, making it a decent spot for a casual picnic. There are separate restrooms for men and women, and a swing set for kids. It’s not a fancy park, but it has the basics enough for a quick break or a simple outdoor meal.

Omg…our pup Brody loves it. Can’t get into the small dog side quick enough. The yard is clean and large. Has plenty of shaded areas and available seats to relax and watch the pups play. All pet parents seem to be friendly and attentive to thier pets. We will continue going here from Lemon Grove often. How fun.

I’ve been going to Dusty Rhodes park for 9 years. It’s a short drive past my local dog park. And, is my 1st choice.
Regarding the Small dog side:
Pros: fully fenced with functioning fountain and constant supply of poop bags. Large area that provides plenty of room for dogs to roam. Great old trees that provide nice shade.
Cons: there are so many gopher holes. And, so much uneven ground. There are days I leave because of the gopher infestation. Chairs, wheelbarrows, and shovels (for replacing the dirt when dogs dig) are often stolen.
