Wildwood Park offers a convenient spot for dog owners in San Bernardino to let their pets enjoy some off-leash time and play. The park features an open field, making it ideal for active dogs to run and socialize. With amenities like a splash pad, ample shade, grassy areas (though some reviews note periods of dryness), and adjacent pet-friendly trails, it provides a diverse experience for both dogs and owners. Early mornings are often quieter, which many locals prefer for a peaceful outing.
While the restrooms and park water fountains may occasionally be out of service, the dog park’s water features generally operate—especially appreciated during hot California afternoons. Seating and shade are available to accommodate pet owners and their families. For visitors seeking a dog-friendly hiking experience, there are nearby trails, and the open green spaces are maintained frequently enough to ensure a safe visit.
Theres a splash pad, hiking trail, dog park, and plenty of grass. However, the restrooms aren’t open and theres no water going to them or the fountains at the dog park. Plenty of shade for the kiddos. No barbecues but u can bring your own. At night there are homeless people around.

Water feautures still work, which is great in this heat. They shut off at a certain time. I think right around 6 pm.

It has an open field but the best times are early morning when the dog parks arent crowded. There’s many dogs that attend on a regular who are not well trained so I try to use the space outside the dog parks if they’re there to avoid any trouble. They did remove the unhoused that were stationed so it feels a lot more safer to go, just keep alert for possible strays! I do enjoy going with my dog for about 30 minutes to an hour early in the morning since it’s so close to home.
