FAQ for Fox Dog Park in San Antonio Texas:
Limited parking next to the dog park, but plenty more near the walking trail around the corner.Decent amount of space for dogs to run & play in, with a few trees scattered throughout. The entryway fences are lower than those around the perimeter, so if you have pups that are high jumpers, best to keep an eye on them.
People are super friendly, but it’s really dusty, especially when big dogs get the zoomies 😂. We still had a great time, and it’s a nice alternative to Coyote. Just be aware there are quite a few spiky burrs; they got stuck between my dog’s paws and took a while to remove.
The GPS took me to the wrong spot for the trail park, three stars for that! The dog park is actually on the same property and has its own parking. It’s usually pretty quiet, just my dogs and maybe a couple of others. So, not the best if you’re hoping for a doggy playdate! Still, it’s a decent place to take your dogs overall.
Great dog park. I go a different times on different days. People there are always cleaning after their dogs. Very friendly. Large area to run with seperate small dog section. Some shade and seats.
Two paws up! Great local park for double income no kids millennials. This doggy park has everything. A nice spacious holding pen for leashing and unleashing your pup, one small/senior play pen, and a much larger play area for all other pups. The large pup park has doggy bags, trash, and doggy bowl fountains. Plenty of space to toss and fetch, agility stations, and benches. The park could use more trees for shade during the summer months as well as more sitting space. Doggy parents pretty responsible and attentive to their pups. The parking space is small for the large crowds this park is attracting; however, you can always park by the trail entrance on Hausman Road and walk south to the park entrance.
