What a short but sweet little gem. A small stream winding through the park under sturdy wooden bridges. Some of the massive trees are labeled with brief signs. It’s a short 10 to 15 minute trail but one can easily loop it twice. Shaded, dog and kid friendly. Very charming and petite.

I like the place. It’s a tree place. Lots of stately trees, many hollowed or bifurcated. I wouldn’t take the kids here on a windy day or during a storm. Many of the trees are leaning precariously and the ground, while spongy to walk on, is soft and doesn’t provide the best anchorage for the tall masts above ground. Close to heavily traveled Gen Puller highway but welcomingly peacefull.
