This is an excellent destination for those searching for a dog-friendly park or hiking options nearby Saluda, especially for locals looking for an easy excursion with furry friends.
Great find nestled in with the rappahannock community college campus. Peaceful and well marked trail. Kid friendly. Easy walking trail for all ages. Only a stone’s throw away from civilization too! Plenty of geocaches too! Have fun and enjoy!
Nature trail was a glorified embelellishment for a path through the woods adjacent to heavy highway sounds. There was a decaying bench and no views or anything of interest unless ya want to consider an abandoned and crumbling tennis court a memorable vista.
Fantastic dog walking trail. Walked it at twilight and it was great.
Highly recommend for walking with dogs. Nicely shaded and mostly level trail. It’s well marked and parking is large, so no problem finding a spot. Beautiful scenery.
This place deserves 4.5, went on Thanksgiving day, so no one was there, so I don’t know how crowded it is or isn’t……The trail itself is OK, needs better markers in some areas, I’m blessed my canine is a great tour guide she kept us on the trail 😊 when it was covered up a bit. The trail brings the ambler by some nice areas one of which seems to be an abandoned rec park (tennis court, basketball ball court & baseball diamond ) Seems like a nice place to enjoy some peace and quiet with a good book….
I’ll have to come back and bring a hot tea and the Bible to sit and read. ( might update with pictures next time)
