Tall Pines is always a stop when I’m visiting my parents. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Bar tenders are attentive and knowledgeable. If moonshine isn’t your thing, there are Pennsylvania beers and wine available! You can have the moonshine on the rocks or try one of their creative cocktails! There is also a food menu to complement the drinks. You’ll often find entertainment on the weekends and food trucks during the warmer weather!
Beautiful property, delicious moonshine, amazing craftsmanship and friendly hosts! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We ended our motorhome tour of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail here and I have to say of all the Distilleries we toured, this was my absolute favorite. Will definitely be revisiting soon!!
Beautiful spot. When I visited, both the indoor and outdoors areas were reserved for an event but I was able to see how lovely they are. For NULL I was able to sample a few drinks and choose my favorites. Friendly staff, much parking
Great atmosphere and staff. The owner and his family run the place. They are really friendly, especially their dog Copper. They have a bar on site that uses their product to make a variety of mixed drinks and shots. The owner toured us through the distilling facility. The moonshine is not just distilled and then flavor added, the flavors are made during the process. For instance, the peach moonshine is made with real peaches. The tasting room had everything available for sampling.
We stopped here on a Saturday late afternoon in January for a spirit tasting as part of a whiskey trail pass we purchased. This was one of the locations on the trail pass and our first stop. We had a tasting flight and samples some of the whiskey, moonshine, bourbon and rum. This is a family operation and everyone we interacted with was friendly and pleasant. There weren’t many others here when we stopped but it was a rainy/snowy day. The atmosphere was laid-back and casual. We did see that they have some outdoor space and I am sure that is really nice when the weather is good. They have a small food menu – we weren’t hungry so didn’t order anything but the popcorn machine smelled like maybe we should have gotten some of that:) Overall great experience.
