Gorgeous view. This is very much off the beaten path but worth the drive (which is a great drive thru the country). The only downside was seeing that some people with South hate in them destroy the signs. Just can’t imagine driving all the way out there to then not enjoy the view and destroy signs due to any issue. Definitely take the time to visit and stop at the first scenic overlook.

It’s a very beautiful area all around there, and it has an amazing view from the top of the tower. You are able to easily see everything in a 30 mile radius from there.
Definitely worth your time to wait and hangout there late enough for you to be able to watch the sunset from the tower.

Very easy to access high point. Right off the road, however, the road is off the beaten path. Very beautiful windy roads to get to this mountain. The way we took wat many scenic views, and a lot of Amish carts which we need to see.

There are several trails you can use to go up to see it, or you can drive and get within 50 yards. There’s a parking lot that can fit normal size cars all the way to larger vehicles with small trailers. About a mile away from the high point, there’s a park that does have restrooms and larger parking. Along with picnic tables and sitting areas. We did pass a campground along the way, that was within a few miles from the high point.

There was a nice metal observation tower that you could climb to look out. We went in summer, and the trees were pretty full so there wasn’t a ton to see, but it was still a pretty view. The high point is on a rock just next to the observation tower. I will post a picture so you can see where the high point is located in comparison to the observation tower.

We did hike a little bit of the trail and it was very beautiful. We took our school age children, and they were able to get around very easily.

Quick level walk about one block to the observation tower from the parking lot. Only a few flights of stairs. Tower feels stable. Solid step caps with good traction. Sturdy railing up top with amazing views! Nice history area close by the base of the tower with metal info plaques. Also a small loop trail around the summit for a quick hike. There where no public restrooms.

Me and my fiancé went out there. That was absolutely beautiful. We watched a thunderstorm roll in. We had a great time, went out to overlook and up to the watch observatory tower. You can see High Point Lake up there.
