Beautiful place for kids to play and have fun. We rode scooters around the whole thing. Ot took 30min. Some of it was bumpy or too steep but for the most part of was very enjoyable. There’s only one duck in the pond 😔

Pulled in here looking for a place to wake up a little on my travels. Great little park, decided to walk the track around the lake (instead of taking a nap). Lovely area. Fish jumping occasionally leaving ripples in the water. Wildflowers here and there. A couple fishing. (And there is a sign re: fishing- Yes, you need a fishing license if you are 16 or older- also has pictures of fish you might catch & how many you can keep. Only large mouth bass are catch & release.)Not sure of the track distance around the lake, but my short steps got about 1500 steps all the way around.
I was out showing property in Viola and Salem and stopped by to take some photos. I have passed by many, many times and admired it. It is such a pretty park and very peaceful. Large mature trees provide lots of shade. There is a nice big lake with a walking track around it. There is a fishing pier to fish. Not sure if you have to have a license and/or if it is catch and release.
Absolutely beautiful place to spend some time! Their was plenty of shaded benches and a great paved path all the way around the park.
