FAQ for Granite Park Dog Park in Sacramento California:
This dog park is clearly not maintained it’s only dirt and burweeds which are small spiny fruits that are painful to step on barefoot so imagine for the dogs city needs to take responsibility and clean up this park.
It is a great dog park. The only thing is there are hidden cats that spread fleas there. Cats will spread fleas to the grass and the environment. Environment pollution. Otherwise, the dog park is great
Excellent park. Has a homey feel, you can tell there are regulars looking out for it.My dog loved all the grass and trees, but his favorite was the huge puddle after the rain.It has 6 double lamp posts providing some light, and the parking lot is also lit. I also like that there is a walkway leading straight to both dog parks so you can avoid the rest of the park (mine would chase skateboarders if close enough).
You need to be engaged with your pet. But the Local Bark offers a safe, fun environment for your dog to exercise and socialize. The walk in pool and the bar make it 5 stars
My dogs love this spot. It’s very large and provides a great amount of space for the dogs to run and play. Each time I’ve been here, I’ve had a chance to meet some great pups and some cool owners. Chill vibe overall. There’s one major issue that we need to address. Poop bags. Y’all can’t leave those dispensers empty. Gotta stock up. People shouldn’t have to bring plastic bags from home and hang them on the fence. Do better friends. Cali peeps pay hellllllllla grip in taxes and you can do better.
The Local Bark Park has been a weekend staple activity since they opened it up just about a year ago. Great dogs, great people, great atmosphere, and being able to enjoy it all with a beer adds just the right touch. So happy we found this place!
Our pups love The Local Bark Park & we do too! We love the peace of mind that comes with knowing that the employees and other dog owners are trained and know what dog language to look out for. The pups play in the pool all year round & there are plenty of balls & other toys to play with too. The park has lighting and heaters for when it gets dark or cold, and a great selection of local beers & other drinks & snacks. We usually spend three to four hours a weekend here!
After running through exposed standing water, my dog now has a fungal infection on his skin. The light green color in this pic is algae. 😵
