Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located at 208 Park Ave, Walgreens serves as a local pharmacy and convenience store in Rutherford, New Jersey. While it is not a dog park or pet-exclusive location, it’s valued by area residents for offering daily essentials and pharmacy services within easy reach.
If you’re searching for a dog park or pet-friendly trails in Rutherford, NJ, this Walgreens location may not be the spot you’re looking for. However, it could be helpful for picking up supplies when headed out with your dog to one of the community’s parks or open spaces. Please note: there are no designated dog amenities or off-leash areas here.
I haven’t used the pharmacy here, but they’re typically good for their sparking water and sugar free soda varieties (Sparkling Ice and Perrier, namely). Staff is professional.

It’s a pharmacy which Mom appreciated, because she liked the service for when she picked up her medication from it.

I ordered something online for delivery, and got an email saying that the order was delayed. No biggie except the new estimated time was 3 AM that day. Which makes no sense as it was 12:30 PM when I saw the email. I tried the Walgreens online chatbot to help me, but it was no help because it wouldn’t connect me to a real person without having an account, and it was such poor AI that it wasn’t programmed to automatically send me to a real person when I said I had no account. So I tried calling the 877 number, but the customer service rep told me she couldn’t help (although she wanted to) because it’s the individual store that sets the delivery time. I called the store, and they had no record of a package or an order for me. So I called the 877 number back to cancel the order, and they told me they couldn’t because per their system the package was ready to be picked up by Doordash. I was about to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau (not for the sake of being a complainer, but sometimes you only can get in touch with someone who can/will help after you involve an advocacy group, when it shouldn’t have to come to that) – then I got a text saying my order is on its way.
Huh??
I don’t really like leaving nasty reviews, but in the amount of time I spent tracking this down, Walgreens probably could have just not sent an email to say my order was delayed in the first place, because the texted delivery estimate was exactly the same as what they originally had said. So after speaking with 4 Walgreens employees who probably had better things to do (as did I) over the 2 hours or so I spent trying to track this down – perhaps they can have a glitch-free system that doesn’t report a delay that doesn’t exist, or at minimum a much more efficient way of handling when there is a glitch?
Also – I might as well add that when I got my first Covid vaccine from this Walgreens location in 2021 or 2022, their pharmacy mixed up my records with someone else who has the same name but different date of birth who lives in a different state. They gave me an information packet with her name, date of birth, and address, which I believe means they initially entered my Covid record into her account. When I told a pharmacist about this she looked kind of panicked and seemed to take a long time trying to fix the mix up – because I think that might be considered a HIPAA violation, which is a serious thing. Makes me wonder if they mix up people’s prescriptions as well, which could be very dangerous.
Long story short, I don’t recommend this store. But because it’s the closest thing to a grocery store in town, I’m forced to keep using it whenever I need grocery-like products on short notice.
I’ll accept it if anyone I dealt with today says I was a nasty B with them – but I still stand behind my review. There’s no reason to make things harder than they need to be, and no need to confuse people with automated notifications that are inaccurate then expect the customer to just understand that glitches just happen, if they happen too often.

Canceled my appointment at last minute saying my phone number is wrong. My phone number is not wrong and I didn’t got any email reminder either! The staff is rude cannot provide any replacement solution. I’m super sick right now that’s why I need a test. Think if it’s you got sick and being treated like this! Please never use Walgreens pharmacy!
