Great place to take your dog or family out to walk or run or to have a picnic. Safe, beautiful scenery, very green.

We didn’t get to spend a long time there, but we still had a nice short walk among the beautiful trees and rocky outcroppings. They had a lot more paved trails and a playground that I hope we can have time for on our next visit.

It’s a small park overlooking the Illinois Bayou that happens to be connected to the Bona Dea Trail. It’s fairly quiet and easily accessible, there’s even a small playground for children and free wifi. The only downside is that this park is named after horrible person who participated in the cultural genocide of Cherokee people in the 1800s. This park seriously needs to be renamed!
