If you’re searching for a scenic dog park in Roy, Washington, McKenna Park stands out with its beautiful river access, ample parking, and welcoming open spaces. Offering easy access right off WA-507, this pet-friendly park features a sandy beach along the riverbank—perfect for swimming, wading, or just relaxing with your pup by the water. Visitors rave about the big grassy fields for running and playing, making it a great spot for both kids and energetic dogs.
McKenna Park is known for its sunny swim spots as well as shaded areas under the trees, making it comfortable all day long. While not a dedicated off-leash dog park, it’s a favorite for local dog owners looking for outdoor adventures, water fun, or even a riverside picnic. The park also has portapotties, grilling areas, and plenty of space, making it ideal for families and pet owners alike.
It’s nice I like that it’s got the river just right there and a store across the street and plenty of parking closed at night also next to a bar
Perfect little beach for cooling off and nice big fields for kids to run and play and burn off their energy, people are pretty mellow and good vibe
Perfect little swimming area where you can still float or grab a chair and sit in the water. Nice and sunny swim spot but shaded areas too. There is a park and people were grilling. There are also portapotties which are a little dirty but it was also later in the day. They at least had toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
Could be a great park but unfortunately there a some people that think they own the place and parked in the boat launch and then proceeded to take up the entire river so no one else could use it complete lack of decency and common sense WOW!!
Easy access right off the main road. Ample parking. The ramp went right into the river not very far away from parking. Sandy Little Beach there…. Beautiful setting.
There is road noise but I still say a great spot for a quick dip, nature bathing, grounding, or picnic.
