Located at 4601 Centennial Dr, Scentral Dog Park is a spacious and popular destination for dog lovers in Rowlett, TX. This well-maintained dog park features large, clearly labeled areas for both small dogs (under 30 lbs) and large dogs (over 30 lbs), giving pets plenty of room to run and play off-leash. Local visitors appreciate the park’s easy accessibility and ample space, especially for big and energetic pups.
Scentral Dog Park stands out among dog-friendly places in Rowlett with amenities such as public restrooms, water bowls inside the gates, and a water fountain just outside the entrance. While the park offers some balls for dogs and facilities for pet owners, visitors do mention a lack of shade, with only one small tree providing relief from the Texas sun. Regular events, like the Barks & Brats festival, add to the park’s community vibe, making it a favorite spot for local pet owners.
Nice dog park. There are balls for the dogs to play with and water bowls inside the gate. There is a water fountain outside the gate.
I went there today because they had the barks & brats festival. Some of our kids who rock volunteers were playing and providing the music. I want a “to go dog water” bowl for my brothers dog from Frontier cable. Nice park. Plenty of space. More trees would be nice. 🐕🦺
It’s a very large park, lots of space for the large dogs. They also have a spot for smaller dogs that is just as large of a space. It’s very easy to get to. It looked like there was a bathroom in the area but I didn’t get close enough to check it out.
Park is great, but you WILL encounter dog owners that don’t follow rules or pick up after their pets. It’s pretty simply labeled, small dog park (under 30lbs) and big dog park (over 30lbs). Every time I show up I see large dogs in the small part which gives my little 15lb terrier nowhere to go if both are occupied by huge dogs that bark at every little thing. I’ll still come 3-5x per week though. Fabulous little park but could use more trees and shade!
It’s decent and has public restrooms but there’s no shade. One small little tree towards the back. In this texas heat we were only able to stay about 10 min
