If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, Acacia Recreation Siteis a hidden gem worth discovering. I recently spent Mother’s Day there, and it exceeded my expectations in every way.The lake itself is beautifully maintained — clear water, framed by mountains. Whether you’re into kayaking, fishing, paddleboarding, or just relaxing by the shore, there’s something for everyone. The calm waters are perfect for beginners and families with kids.We didn’t have time to explore the walking and hiking trails around the lake; but we will visit again soon to experience it. There were a few picnic spots with tables, making it ideal for day trips. I didn’t see a lot of lighting so I would stick to the day hours.I appreciated the attention to cleanliness and safety throughout the site. Staff were friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely passionate about preserving the natural beauty of the area. What stood out the most was the tranquil atmosphere. Unlike more commercialized lakes, Acacia Recreation Site remains relatively quiet and respectful — a true escape from the noise and stress of everyday life.Tips:• Arrive early on weekends for the best spots.• Don’t forget a camera — the views are stunning!I’ll definitely be returning to Acacia Recreation Site— it’s a place that refreshes the mind and soul.

Beautiful recreation site. Lots of shaded tables and good access to the water. The tables were covered in bird poop, so bring a table covering or something to clean them. Pit toilets were ok.

The spot was very beautiful and quite area not tons of people has a mini beach that makes it easier to get to the water. Very clean. Got beautiful pictures and my teenager loved this place. Always asks to go.
