Great dog park. Big playing area for them to run around. Bonus is if you follow the trail you can walk your dogs around the lake that’s not far.
It takes about an hour to jog from the dog park around the lake and back for me. It’s a good outing for my pups and I would highly suggest.
Also it’s got a very safe feeling to the area for those who would question that. Highly suggest. The grounds are always manicured as well.
Only downfall is no shaded area in the actual dog park.

I rode my mountain bike here and the trails are great. It will take a couple visits to learn all of the trails. Well worth it. Look for the cool photo spot too where the trees are alligned and there is a little gazeebo looking thing at the end of the bridge.

10/3/19 – add more pictures. They have rest rooms here also.

Great place to take the dog for walk or play in the gated dog park. They have a box on the fence with balls, etc you can use and drop off old toys for someone else to us. Fresh water. Water inside and outside gate for the walkers. Walking away from town it is 1/2 mile to end of sidewalk, towards lake Atlanta 3/4 mile so makes it easy for you to track you distance if you want. Dog love it. Nicely done, well kept.

Google did not give very good directions. And the name, Lake Atlanta Dog Park, is the same name used for the park across town. Very confusing!
There is no parking to speak of. I parked on the side of the street. I’ve only been to this park two or three times but, like now, there are no other dogs here.
The park is constructed on a rather steep hill.
I am not impressed. It seems like the location would attract a lot of dog owners and their pets, but may not because of its poor construction.
It is like an afterthought to the bike park.
