Rodeo Beach offers a scenic and pet-friendly destination for dog owners in Rodeo, California. Known for its unique private beach setting and stunning views, this dog-friendly location is popular for families and dog lovers alike. The park features a spacious sandy area as well as grassy and rocky spots, making it a great spot for outdoor fun and pet-friendly adventure. Large shady trees provide relief on sunny days, and there is picnic seating available for owners looking to relax while their dogs play.
The easy walk to the beach and swimming area, combined with nearby attractions like the Four Fools Winery, make Rodeo Beach stand out. Visitors note the friendly atmosphere and regular presence of families and their pets. The shore is generally clean, and the big tree at the park provides ample shade for picnicking. Please be cautious around some rocky areas and barnacles, as they can be sharp, and keep an eye out for scattered litter in non-sandy patches.
Had a great time in Rodeo Beach
Pretty decent beach. Usually pretty windy and sunny. The rocks by the water can be super slippery though, and there’s sharp barnacles on them. I learned the hard way today and can’t walk on my left foot haha. Please watch your kids and be careful, the rocks don’t care who you are.
There’s plenty of nice spots to sit down, though there’s some broken glass in spots and some other sharp litter. Unless you’re on the nice sandy section I recommend keeping your shoes on, the grassy and rocky parts usually have the litter.
Beware the barnacles. They look unassuming and harmless but that’s how they get you. They’re so much sharper than they look.
Nice private beach. Unique in its own way !
Great place! Great views!
Love coming here. Huge tree and sjort walk to swimming / beach area & fishing. Right near four fools winery… LOVE the ways they upgraded that venue.
I heard the beach wasn’t as great back in the day when they were growing up…
But don’t believe the rumors, that was 2 decades ago.
I’ve never seen too much trash and it’s usually families and people and dogs during the day! The big tree is HUUGE and shades a picnic bench.
Once in a while there’s some seaweed in the way on the shore… but lately it’s been great and shore is clear last few times I’ve gone.
