Labo Park is a tranquil, dog-friendly spot located along S Huron River Dr in Rockwood, MI. It’s a favorite local destination for those searching for a peaceful place to relax by the river, walk their dogs, and enjoy some outdoor time with family and pets. Dogs are welcome at the park, making it a great option for anyone looking for a simple pet-friendly park in the Rockwood area.
The park boasts plenty of parking, a picnic table, swings, and a playground ideal for visitors with children. While there aren’t fenced areas or specific off-leash dog zones, it’s a comfortable spot to sit by the water, watch ducks and boats, and even cast a line for fishing (though a notice advises against eating the fish). The park is wheelchair accessible and within a short walk of local conveniences, such as a gas station and a restaurant just 1/8 mile away.
Nice quite place to fish.
Nice little park. It has swings. Plenty of parking. Good fishing.
It was nice sitting by the water watching the ducks and the boats. Very nice.
I was surprised by the “Do Not Eat Fish advisory” posted at Lobo Park. The photo was taken the evening of 02/23/2024.
No bathrooms, or clean drinking water. There is one picnic table. Nice quiet spot to cast a line. Gas station and a restaurant located 1/8 mile up the road.
Went fishing with my friend and her son. Very quiet and relaxing place. Will be coming back. She wants to bring her kayak.
