Fun little place to spend the afternoon. Took our almost 4 year old, and were lucky enough to spend our time with Danielle. She was so kind and patient with my son, she went along with his topic changes with no issue. She knew the answer to all of his questions, engaged with him so well and definitely made the experience better.
I can’t recommend this place enough.
Am looking forward to going back and experiencing the land next time.
Great Little Tucked away spot in/near Hempstead LI, Stronge Island! Check out the live animation Dinosaur Exibit! Lots of cool stuff to explore with the little ones!
Informative and interactive display. They have some dinosaur fossil replicas in the museum with friendly staff. The museum is not too big. Appropriate for younger kids. A bit pricey. The preserve has walking trails around the lake for free.
Nice small preserve with walk around the pond. Highlight of the visit was dinosaur exhibit and small animal enclosures. Adults can have as much fun, you don’t have to bring kid with you to get a tour of the place.
We love it here! Great educational programs, fun dinosaur museum/exhibit and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoy coming to picnic and taking a walk around the little pond to see the ducks, turtles and other wildlife.
They have Spookyfest in October which we went to this year and my 4 year old had such an incredible time! The non-scary walk was perfect for his age. There were crafts, dancing, face painting and fortune telling. I appreciated how friendly the volunteers were; they made my son (who can be quite shy) feel safe and comfortable. It was a great experience! Highly recommend
