So absolutely disappointed tonight!!!! Cars still coming in an hour after movie started with lights on.. ridiculous how many people they kept letting in even though they were packed!!! Only great thing was watching the huge skunk walking in as we were leaving cause we couldn’t even watch the movie!!!
So disappointed today. This is always our favorite part of summertime but tonight was horrible. It’s a holiday weekend and it was expect it to be busy but the excessive amount of people let in tonight AFTER the movie started was insane. We couldn’t hear or see the better part of the beginning of the movie due to the vehicles driving constantly in front of the already parked vehicles so we left after paying a pretty penny for the whole family to be there tonight. Definitely recommend to put some safe guard in place to ensure everyone gets to experience what they’ve paid for.
I hope yall stay open FOREVER!!!!! Because of this moment right here…My baby with her baby, as we sit father back watching one of their favorites…I want them to have this always available…memories to last a lifetime!!
I am a lover of the drive-in culture and experience. For me, it is a sad thing that they are leaving this earth and will probably never return. That being said, I have to keep it real but only because i want the Holiday to better itself so it DOESN’T go away. I am surprised it is still open, as it is not in a spot in which one can truly enjoy the whole vibe uninterrupted. It is surrounded by businesses that have lights on at night (during the show!). The owner(s)/property group/management/WHATEVER really need to have some conversations with the other business owners/small town leadership to see about doing something with their lights OR see about planting walls of tall trees closely aligned to block out the surrounding lights as best as possible.
Other than that, the restrooms and concessions are on par with the average drive-in experience. Again, I LOVE drive-in movie theaters, they are an irreplaceable part of old school Americana that still have a valuable foothold in today’s tricky, modern world, but the Holiday seriously lacks because of those damned lights from other businesses and a lack of barriers/trees.
AVOID SCREEN #1! It is the screen/parking area I’d say is most affected by the problem here.
My son and I were visiting from out of town. Our battery was drained after the movie and I was stressing. A gentleman came in a golf cart and jumped(rescued) us and was the nicest man we have ever met. Thank you for the amazing experience. We really appreciate you and will be back soon!
