We had a nice canal side to visit, plenty of room to pull up our Erie canal adventure boat tie off and stop for a picnic under the trees. They had a large wheelchair accessible porta potty available. There were a few friendly people at the other tables. It felt nice and safe for lunch.

Henpeck park is a small and pretty park with an entrance to Erie heritage trail. Parking is somewhat limited but makes sense considering how small. There are some stretches with no canal view if you walk east.

Henpeck Park is one of those quiet, tucked-away spots that really lets you slow down and breathe. Located right on the Erie Canal in Greece, it’s perfect for peaceful walks, bike rides, or just sitting by the water to clear your head. There are benches along the path, plenty of green space, and it’s usually not too crowded, which makes it feel like your own little escape.

It’s also a great spot to reflect, connect with nature, or spend quality time with someone important. Whether you’re watching boats pass by or just enjoying the stillness, Henpeck Park offers a simple kind of beauty that’s hard to find these days.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area and need a quiet, scenic break from the world.
