Greece Canal Park in Rochester, New York, is a spacious, dog-friendly destination known for its scenic beauty, welcoming atmosphere, and diverse amenities perfect for pet owners and families alike. Known for its accessible entrances and parking lots, Greece Canal Park also features numerous walking and pet-friendly hiking trails, making it ideal for exploring nature with your dog.
The park’s large layout includes amenities such as picnic tables, barbecue grills, a playground, baseball and tennis courts, and public restrooms. Dog park registration is required through Monroe County Parks, needing proof of license and rabies vaccination for your dog.
Peaceful single dock. Perfect for a stop to cook, walk and meet people on the trail. Lovely.
The new park guys are doing a great job cleaning up trails and building new bridges to replace broken rotted ones. I really wish more people with dogs would pick up their dogs poop and take the poop bags. There are piles everywhere hindering walking in the open fields. Mainly by the tennis courts. It appears to be the same lazy people with bigger dogs. It ruins the experience for responsible pet owners.
The dog park was the place to be today! Lots of dogs lots of friendly people and beautiful weather.

Went here to fish with my son in the evening before the sun went down. Bugs were bad near the pond but that’s understandable. Sheriff drove through and waved to my son. All in all a beautiful place to take a walk.
It was beautiful! I wish I came during the better months so that it wouldn’t be an obstacle course. But it was fun and pretty quick if a walk if you take the blue tail. Be warned if you do take the blue trail, at one point it says with the red tail. There are no signs, but make sure you don’t go right. You’ll know what I mean.
