Located at 890 Meigs St, Ellwanger & Barry Park is a welcoming green space ideal for families, children, and pet owners in Rochester, New York. With its beautiful walking trails and peaceful setting, the park is perfect for pet-friendly strolls and outdoor activities. Dog owners will appreciate the open, dog-friendly environment where leashed pets are welcome to explore alongside the family.
Highlights of Ellwanger & Barry Park include a spacious playground, multiple slides, swings, a sandbox for kids, and plenty of benches for resting. The park is accessible and features wide, paved paths, making it wheelchair friendly. While the park feels like a hidden gem due to its quiet, uncrowded atmosphere, it’s especially great for families looking for a spot where children and their leashed dogs can enjoy nature and play together.
Cute playground, big space & cordoned off from the street. A few benches. lots of push toys around, a sandbox and a good range of slides for toddlers and bigger kids. Its too bad the place looks a bit run down with quite a few broken stuff that becomes a bit hazardous.
Thought the location is pretty neat! Lots to do there for the children! The mental tree was the coolest part! Also looks like toys are provided which is nice not bring any over.
Hidden gem – very few people were there on a really beautiful day, so my child had the whole playground to herself. And it’s so convenient that they have lots of toys floating around – My one concern is that some of those toys had broken parts which kids could hurt themselves on and should be properly discarded.
It is a very beautifull park. I highly recomend that park to come with your kids.
The park and the trail was so beautiful
