With its paved pathways running alongside the scenic Roanoke River, the park is perfect for leisurely walks, biking, or dog-friendly hiking adventures. Ample shade, outdoor fitness features, and beautiful river views make this park stand out as a relaxing and pet-friendly destination.
This spacious park connects with several greenway parks, offering easy access for long walks with your pup. Beautiful and peaceful place.
Very nice at sundown, the view was phenomenal!!
For sure to visit again. (:
Fun little mountain bike skills loop! I would like to see more of that.
Walked 2.5 miles out, then back on a nicely paved path along the pristine Roanoke River. On the way 3 playgrounds, eatery, pavilions, outdoor sculpture. bathrooms(heated!!!), huge skate park, pars course, soccer and baseball fields, and a flat flood plain that would be perfect for cross country sking. I actually journeyed through a couple connected parks on the greenway. Lots of dogs, bike riders, and runners even on a weekday in December. Everyone was friendly and courteous.
Great little park. Just needs a few picnic tables. We’re traveling with a dog and shopped for our lunch at the local Roanoke food co-op. We headed to the park to eat. The bench worked, but a table would have been even better. Nice and clean and quiet!
Excellent way to get in a good long walk, paved trail with some shade here and there, you can bike or walk very flat, it’s super easy. I enjoyed the little areas where you can stretch before you set off, or they have little pictures of workouts you can do along the way which was a nice touch. You even get some cool scenery when you cross the bridges over the river nearby, saw some people tubing! I want to go back on a cooler day and have another enjoyable walk.
