A wonderful place to walk, ride bicycles, have picnics, cookouts, go fishing, sightseeing, exercising, enjoying the weather, nice neighborhood, a beautiful trail, friendly neighbors, just a gorgeous location to let go of stress and frustration, love Piedmont Park!
Nice little neighborhood park, but it could use some bathrooms and a few picnic tables. Also the parking can be a bit tight, but still, a nice little place to start a walk or bike ride through the Greenway.
Have spent many evenings chillin’ Here in the park. One of them with a very good friend of mine, about 2years ago, just before he passed,as well as his memorial there shortly after. What a gorgeous send off,we all threw flowers off of the bridge & watched as the whole line of beautiful blooms washed under the bridge and on down the river. Sweet Daniel that’ll always remain our special spot .
Nice park a few miles from the downtown where you can observe Roanoke star.
Relaxing and secure.
Parked there again today to walk. Nice access to river trail that leads past hospital one way or into Garden City the other.
Easter weekend went there with grandchildren. We had fun playing in field by the playground
