Beautiful place for a morning walk! There is a smorgasbord of possibilities here. Bring a frisbee for a round of golf, a basketball or baseball equipment for a game, a dog to play in the dog park, a mat for some yoga on the stage or meditate in the fountain garden. Thanks Roanoke City for providing and maintaining!
A nice 9 hole warm up disc golf course. The pads could use some work, as a few of them are falling apart or are flooded. Some good putting and technical work, if you’re in the mood for it. Some fairly wide open shots also. Walking paths throughout, so keep an eye out for other park visitors. Wish people would pick up after their dogs because we stepped in poop.
Really nice shady park with brick paths throughout. A few athletic fields & a disc golf course plus the playground. Lots of different things in the playground and the equipment is new and in good shape. Great playground for kids of all ages.
Highland Park hasn’t changed much over the last 20 years but they have augmented some things.
The dog park on the far end, pretty walking trails throughout, picnic areas, tennis and basketball courts at the top of the hill in the brightly colored playground by the school make this park a great walking park anytime.
Especially pretty during the spring and summer months, this is a favorite outdoor spot of mine in the old Southwest neighborhood.
A great place to play disc golf and basketball. The tennis courts have been fixed and the basketball courts have been replaced with nets. Homeless still loiter around but generally leave everyone alone. The bathroom in the park don’t have stalls so that is a downside.
