Roadrunner Park is a popular dog park in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, offering scenic pet-friendly trails and a welcoming atmosphere for daily walks and exercise. Locals love its well-maintained pathways and occasional sightings of local wildlife such as roadrunners, quail, jackrabbits, and coyotes, making it a unique spot for both you and your pup. Whether you visit in the cool early morning hours or during sunset, the park has plenty of regular visitors and a friendly community feel.
The park features benches and an observation structure with some shade overlooking beautiful vistas. While there isn’t much natural shade throughout the park, the observation area provides a place to rest and take in the views. Thanks to dedicated Rio Rancho park staff, the park is generally well-maintained and inviting for dog owners looking for safe, dog-friendly hiking and walking paths in the area.

Users beware. Watch where you sit and make sure your kids don’t get close. City was informed and ordered a new bench but still left rusty metal exposed.

I am blessed having a fabulous location to walk 4-5 days a week and see the good morning folks each and every time. I believe we have one another to look forward to. An occasional check after the monsoons have driven the sands down toward a number of drains would benefit Scafca in their efforts to keep the sewers less problematic. Thank you Rio Rancho
