Great place to go for a walk/run! Too short for bicycling though
This is a pretty easy and flat walk / bike trail. The trail portion is shaded so makes getting out in the heat doable. The paved bike trail is well maintained. The people who use this trail are nice and there are trash cans and a few areas to rest along the way. It’s quiet and peaceful. Bikers go a moderate speed and there is plenty of room for them to pass and since it’s not a busy path bikers can easily go around if you walk on the paved bike trail. The folks on horses call out so you can yield to them. They are nice as the rest of everyone who uses the trail. You will see a bit of wild life. Snakes, lizards, birds, hare / rabbit. There is a part where you need to cross a single lane road of trarfic but there is a cross with a traffic stop so you should feel safe. Ive been here only a few times and it’s doesn’t get crowded or busy. If you go the full way you can use the restrooms at the soccer field. I think the trail goes further but it needs to be maintained more near the soccer complex. The lot is large and lots of parking.
The trail from the lot to the soccer field and back is 4 miles.
This is a lovely trail that goes along the creek. The footing for my horse is perfect. There’s a way to go into the creek, which is fun. There’s a bridge to cross, which is safe. The bike trail runs safely a safe distance away from the horse equestrian Trail. It’s a good place to take a young or Green Horse. It’s very shady. The staging area clean and safe
This section doesn’t have any amenities. Nice big parking lot for horse removal and such. There’s a concrete path for bikes and walking. There’s also a dirt path which you might see horses and such. Moderate amount of horse poop as well. Would recommend this trail in the morning or dusk as it can get pretty hot as the shade is minimal.
Nice lunch hike, around 2 miles there and back. There are a few homeless encampments throughout the walk/ hike, but so far great experience both times
