AMAZING! Highest recommendation for Ridley K9 Academy. Turns out you can teach an old dog new tricks – but it’s more than that: in one session our 10 year old dog was consistently following our lead and we were building new behaviors & responses together in real time. Garrett brought such an understanding (for both humans & dogs), clarity and a custom detailed program to grow from. We love our dog & know him to be so smart and tender, but struggle with reactiveness and making him feel safe in unknown situations. Our questions were answered so thoroughly and we look forward to joining the group sessions as well! We have a Pitbull mix and knew we were in great hands ans they’re experienced with all breeds. Such a great park for kids
He got one of my dogs walking on a leash properly in 2 minutes. He gave me tips and tricks to help with separation anxiety and anxiety in general. He taught me when to reward and when NOT to. He broke everything down and made sure I understood why we were doing what we were doing and how to do it. He gave me feedback on my performance as a dog handler and made sure I got it right before moving on. He made sure to emphasize being fair to the dogs and recognizing when it’s time to stop training. He helped my overly excited and nervous dog. He also went over materials with my roommate to help get her on board with training. The next day she did not bark or jump on my roommate when she came home. Both dogs are doing great. The packet he provided breaks down different types of reinforcement and their importance. He helped me understand my dogs dispositions as it aids to the training. The training checklist helps me keep myself accountable for training after the session. Overall I had a wonderful experience and would recommend him 10000 times if I could. If your considering a dog trainer he is the one to go with to help your puppy reach their fullest potential!
Ridley K-9 Academy is simply the BEST! Our Boxer earned his AKC CGC before age four, and is well on his way towards becoming my service dog. I am a partially disabled Vietnam veteran, and our dog is a HUGE part of our lives.Having him trained appropriately to attend public events with us is crucial to our lifestyle.
Our pup Hudson had some pretty bad habits and we needed help so that we could walk w him confidently, be around other animals safely and know he was obedient when given a command. Ridley K9 was the solution. They were extremely knowledgeable about different types of behaviors dogs exhibited and how to manage the dog so that all concerned were comfortable. We used their board and train system and Hudson came back a new dog. Wish we had sought helpSooner. Highly recommend!!
Really nice park located right in the cute town of Pine Grove, CA. The park is well l taken care of and always clean. People tend to stay there a while and let their kids play while they socialize. Pine Grove is a wonderful place to raise kids, people are nice, friendly and helpful.
Garrett came to our home and went right to work with showing us how to train our German Shepard puppy using positive reinforcement. Garrett also helped teach us how to continue having successful training on our own with our pup. His training techniques are clear and communicated clearly.We feel fortunate to have found such a talented and professional dog trainer.
Absolutely breathtaking Park brought my dog and got to walk around and celebrate my grandkids birthday. They have done a wonderful job of making this a place for people to spend time and hang out.
Great little park! Fully fenced with gates. They’ve done a lot of work to update this and they did a great job. Wonderful little spot for picnics, birthdays, hangouts, playtime, etc! 😊 will be back soon.
