Richmond Parks & Recreation offers a clean, spacious, and well-maintained environment suitable for families and dog owners. The park includes amenities like a baseball field, basketball court, playground with slides and swings, picnic tables, public restrooms, and accessibility features such as wheelchair accessible entrances and parking. While it is a great spot for kids and community events, dog owners should be cautious as some dogs are allowed to roam off-leash, and not all owners clean up after their pets. The park also provides good handicap parking and space for social distancing.

The park is clean with wide spaces and eaay for social distancing. Definitely a perk of the City of Richmond. Bathroom was clean and there was no typical dirty park bathroom smell. I appreciates that I could let the kids wonder and see them no matter where they were from a distance. I noticed a lot of handicap parking where I came into the park, that’s a definite plus. Great place to spend a little or a lot of time!

Very well cared for park. We love that the rec center hosts so many things for adults and kids alike. Our favorite is game day during the Richmond good old days. Nice place to watch the fireworks the weekend after labor day. There is a skate park, basketball court, sandbox, community pool and also a summer camp.

Nice park for the most part but way too many people allowing their dogs to roam/run off leash and not picking up after them. There’s not a park employee there to supervise or to clean up, which there shouldn’t need to be, so it’s a constant issue. Signs are posted but it doesn’t have any effect. If you’re dog doesn’t always get along with dogs running up to them unwanted, I wouldn’t suggest coming to this park to walk them. If/when bathrooms are open they aren’t the cleanest, thank you again to park patrons.
