Eh, This park is nothing anymore. Never spotted anybody playing around, just me and myself.This also used to be an area where you could watch films on a projector screen by the way
Park hours online say It closes at 9:00pm which is wrong. We had an officer approach us a little after 7 and said the park was closed and we had to leave. My kids love this little park.
We know this as the fire station park, although its map name is Venter’s park.-No restrooms, but there is a porta potty.-There is a small dog run, between the park and fire station. Entry from parking lot.-Park is fenced, and picnic tables are roofed.
Dry and usually clean. Unless someone has just left their trash lying around. The trash cans are often full. My 19 month old has found glass twice, on the perimeter between the playground and the fence. But we still come here when we want to go to the park. It’s small but big enough for toddlers. My biggest pet peeve is that people often leave the gate open when they open it. I have had to walk to latch it so many times. My little ones have had pieces of the wood shavings come through the bottom of their shoes into the foot bed. Luckily they immediately stop and remove the shoes. So, be careful that your child is wearing protective shoes.We still come because it’s close enough to home and the playground equipment is safe for the kids.Just latch the gate please!!
