Stilwell Prairie offers dog owners nearly 400 acres of beautiful limestone and sandstone prairie in Richards, Missouri, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and their pets. This park is renowned for its excellent prairie condition, scattered pecan woodlands, and panoramic ridge-top views. While Stilwell Prairie is not a traditional fenced dog park, it provides plenty of pet-friendly trails ideal for dog-friendly hiking and exploring the natural landscape.
Dog owners will enjoy walking with their dogs along the old road that winds up and along the ridge. This is an excellent spot to observe native wildlife while letting your furry companion enjoy the great outdoors. Please be considerate of the entrance and avoid blocking the gate when parking.

A great place to hike and observe nature. Nearly 400 acres of both limestone and sandstone prairie, much of it in excellent condition. The old road winds up and runs along the top of the ridge, offering good views. Some scattered wooded areas, mostly pecan, with cordgrass (“ripgut”) prairie. Don’t block the gate at the entrance!
