Located conveniently on Lemler Rd, Rice Lake Off Leash Dog Park is a spacious, well-maintained spot for dogs and their owners to enjoy in Rice Lake, WI. This large fenced-in area is perfect for dogs to run and play safely off-leash. Featuring an approximately quarter-mile gravel trail loop, the park provides pet-friendly hiking and walking options for you and your furry companion. If you’re searching for adventure and exercise in northwest Wisconsin, this is a great place for both locals and those visiting Rice Lake.
The dog park offers water onsite, shady trees, and a small shelter to shield visitors from wind, rain, and snow. Essentials like poop bags and a garbage can are provided, though an extra waste station would be appreciated by frequent visitors. There are benches for seating, a dedicated area for parking, and the park is well-kept year-round. Just be mindful if you have a small dog—while most visitors are responsible, extra caution is advised around larger, off-leash dogs.
Nice large area, well kept. Be mindful if you have small dogs however. I’ve had more than one problem with people that appear to not understand or care about general dog park manners and let their large aggressive and unresponsive dogs run free and interact poorly with smaller dogs. An example: I was sitting at a bench, well off the path with my 6 lb dog on my lap. A large 60lb + dog approached me growling , hackles raised while the owner, at least 30 yards away, tried to recall it, to no avail. When I raised concern, the owners response was that my dog barked.. It’s a dog park son. If your dog reacts that way you need to either keep it on a leash, or stay out of the dog park.
It’s a nice large fenced in area. I figure that It’s about 1 square mile, based on the fact that it takes around 10 minutes to walk along the fences. The gravel trail is a 1/4 mile loop.. There’s a shelter to sit in, water available, poop bags and a Porta potty.
Large fenced open space for dogs to run. Not much for tree cover but there is a small shelter area for wind and rain and snow and a walking trail around the park. I will definitely be back to give dogs some exercise.
Dixie loves this park! So much space to run, nice trees for shade, and onsite water.
Well maintained dog park with great dogs and eesponsible owners but only 1 waste bag dispenser and 1 garbage can. Fix that and Taco gives 5 stars!
