Wonderful place to walk. The 1 mile walking trail is paved, the area is clean, and the folks that visit are friendly and respectful. 🌝🌻
Beautiful easy walk. Just BEWARE, the geese are pretty aggressive and will come towards you if you are even in eye view of the chickies….early mornings ive counted over 50 adult geese…literally
Went there in November, was super cold!! So make sure to gear up if you’re going in fall/winter. The path is clean, and a nice distance, good for kids. You can see the geese from afar, and birds. A good place for a casual walk or run.
They should do this with all unused quarries! I was passing by when I saw this pleasant surprise. Well-maintained walking trails, because the quarry is so large, they are somewhat lengthy. Great views and landscaping. Some wide grassy areas as well. There are areas only for residents of the development such as the dog park, garden area, & gazebo, but it’s nice how much is open to the public.
Really great loop to walk especially at sunrise and sunset. There’s a beautiful quarry lake in the center where geese flock and the light reflects nicely off the water on sunny days. There’s loop is just barely less than 1 mile around so a few laps is a great morning wake-up! Decent sized parking lot as well.
