Park is well shaded but pretty hilly so harder on old people & old dogs. Many times there are small dogs in the big dog park so I cannot go in because one of my dogs is not small dog friendly. So I either just walk them or if no small dogs in small dog park I go in there. It is small for a larger dog to run in though so my dogs get bored pretty quickly.
They have nice benches & sheltered areas in the parks & running water for the dogs.
It is a dog park there’s not really much else to say other than it is completely and totally fenced off. There are two separate fenced off areas, there is an entryway which allows for secure entry in which case other dogs inside the main enclosure cannot greet you Except through the fence until you open the gate to go into the main enclosure. The area itself around is kept relatively clean by parks staff. It is encouraged that every dog owner is responsible for the cleanliness of their own dog it’s pretty obvious that if your dog leaves a mess you clean it up, and they seem to keep this ethics level pretty tight which is good because no one wants disease spread.
Very clean and dog friendly park! I love being able to take my dogs on a walk then take them to the dog park.
Absolutely one of our favorite parks to go to. Love that they have 2 different areas for small & large dogs. Pretty clean & usually a great crowd.
Tyger Run Dog Park is the best dog park in the area. It has two separate areas for dogs of different sizes. The fields in each area are large and partially shaded by trees. There are benches for owners that are also covered. A water fountain is available for hydration of both pets and owners. I used the small dog area and found it well maintained. A picnic bench is located at the rear part of the area.
When I was there I noticed that people had left water bowls for dogs. Also a few loose tennis balls to play fetch with.
The parking is accross the street from the park and there are no handicap spaces close by which could be an issue for some people.
