Shore Dogs Park stands out as a wonderful dog park in Redwood City, California, attracting local dog lovers thanks to its separate areas for large and small dogs, an obstacle course for energetic pups, and plenty of space to run and play off-leash. Easily accessible, with street parking nearby, the park provides dog owners with thoughtful amenities including dog water stations, poop bags, and seating for relaxing in both sun and shade. The park’s scenic location along the marsh offers a peaceful, open setting with views of the Bay, and walking trails next door make it perfect for pet-friendly strolls after playtime.
With a welcoming community vibe and considerate local dog owners, Shore Dogs Park is an excellent option for socializing and exercise. The small dog side features more grass and shade, while the large dog area offers a dirt surface and an agility zone. There’s a shaded picnic table, though not every area has cover, so prepare accordingly during sunny weather. While there are no restrooms at the park, the overall environment makes it a favorite for many, blending fun, safety, and great views for dogs and their owners alike.
After 20 minutes, a bunch of dogs arrived around 3:15pm on a Sunday. There’s a nice shaded table to sit at, the park is pretty big.
Nice to be next to a little marsh body of water.
No bathrooms though.
There’s a nice view of the Bay from the marsh, but there’s a loud plant nearby.

Easy access, features 2 large areas (one for smaller dog and one for larger dogs with some obstacle course structures). It’s mainly dirt though so be mindful that your dog will get dirty. Only encountered thoughtful and friendly dog owners so far and always had a great experience. My dog loves going there!
I like that large and small dog has their own areas, it’s not too busy the times we have visited. The small dog side has a grassy area, the big dog side has an obstacle area. There are seating a available plus water for the dogs and poop bags (if you need it).The marsh smell can be bothering if you mind it when it’s windy. Otherwise, the park is great for my dog plus the trail next to it is nice for both of us.
I looooove this dog park and I come all the time! It’s barely 5 minutes from where I live so the location is ideal for me. The dogs and owners I’ve met there are extremely kind and everyone just wants the dogs to have fun. There’s a little obstacle course as well. The big dog side has soooooo much room to run!
I knocked off one star because I really wish someone would give the big dog side some love. Apparently, years ago, it looked a lot more like the small dog side with grass and a big tree for shade. Now there’s only one tree off in a corner with no seating nearby. My dog’s paw pads got torn up when he first started coming because of the rough dirt. There are two tables but be prepared to be in the sun!
