Wooten Meadow Park, located at 6499 W Millbrook Rd in Raleigh, is a welcoming spot for dog owners seeking pet-friendly trails and outdoor fun. This neighborhood park features a paved figure-eight path along a small pond, making it ideal for dog walks, family strolls, cycling, or a relaxing picnic on the grass. With its flat and well-maintained trails, Wooten Meadow offers a safe and accessible area for all visitors, including those using wheelchairs or strollers.
While you won’t find dedicated off-leash or fenced dog areas, the shaded benches, picnic tables, and ample parking ensure comfort and convenience. The park is known for its peaceful atmosphere, abundant wildlife, and opportunities to enjoy Raleigh’s natural beauty. Though there are no restrooms or water fountains, trash cans are available at the entrance, helping visitors keep the space clean and enjoyable for everyone.
Nice paved trail for short walks or a kid learning how to ride a bike. There are no bathrooms or drinking fountains, but there are some benches.
Wooten Meadow Park is now open! It’s not a long pathway, but it is nice. The path cross crosses and features a wetland area, a small open field, benches, and a couple small bridges. The paved path is flat and wide enough for people to walk both directions. There is a grass/dirt path at the far end of the park. I imagine that part could get very muddy if it rains. Overall, a nice small park for walking, playing in the field, taking a pet for a walk, biking, having a picnic in the grass, or just sitting on a bench and enjoying the fresh air. There is a trash can at the front of park (please don’t litter!).
It’s very short and well maintained – the first picture shows the entire figure 8 with a nice field. We took the bonus trail at the end that goes along the creek and it was very pretty and quiet – we even saw some deer! Great place for a casual stroll and plenty of parking.
I love this little park but make sure to hide your things, lock your car, and take your keys because someone broke my window and snatched my purse one Friday afternoon. Regardless, I still visit often!
Even on cold rainy🌧️ days this is a great place to walk. Where Leesville Rd ends (@Millbrook) is where Wooten Meadow Park begins. A Figure 8 shaped, FLAT trail runs around a small pond filled with wildlife. 🦆🪿🐌🦋🐝🪲🐢🐿️
