A real gem. I exercise here when working in Raleigh. The quietness, flora, fauna, and peacefulness is a welcome respite from the work world. No matter your mode of exercise, you can enjoy it here.
Always a great ride. Love the Neuse River Greenway! Beautiful weekday ride in February and not crowded at all. Highly recommend! Only thing was Falls Dam area did not have bathroom access, however as we observed Porta-Johns being delivered….
Awesome trail for all levels. It’s very scenic with wildlife and river(s). It’s very shady, so even on a hot day, you can still get those steps and miles in.
As always, be mindful of your surroundings. I have seen a few snakes and coyotes while walking and cycling. They were as interested in me as a child in church but never take that for granted because wildlife can be very unpredictable.
Also, it is a great place to create your own white noise or relaxing sounds. I’ve seen a few people doing that in the early mornings and evenings. Anywho, enjoy getting and staying healthy!! Remember – A thousand miles begins with the single step.
Hands down, one of my favorite trails on the Raleigh Greenway system. There is an abundance of flora and fauna to delight your senses, and this is a great place to unwind, walk your dog, or hone your photography skills. Highly recommend!
This trail is BEAUTIFUL. I was able to rent a bike from The Bike Guy (so conveniently located) and ride around 32 miles of this trail! You could ride twice that far if you want to! The trail is in such good shape (with the exception of one spot where there’s a detour to avoid construction). I loved the bridges, seeing the little deer on the side of the trail, and enjoying all the nature sounds and smells. This was a favorite adventure of mine.
