Moore Square Dog Park in Raleigh, North Carolina

Located in the heart of downtown, Moore Square Dog Park is a convenient spot for dog owners seeking a central place to let their pets get exercise. While the park is easy to access, it is currently known as a make-shift dog park and is in need of repairs. The fencing is a mix of plastic netting and metal, with several parts described as bent or potentially insecure, so pet parents should use the park with caution, especially with escape-prone dogs.

This dog-friendly space is best for those looking for a quick stop in downtown Raleigh, but be aware of its limitations if you have larger or more energetic dogs. The location sometimes attracts non-park visitors, so solo visitors should be mindful of their surroundings. Despite these concerns, the central placement makes it popular among locals in need of a pet-friendly downtown option.

This is another make-shift dog park, but the location is good. It’s in need of repairs and I wouldn’t trust the plastic netting to hold a dog inside. The metal fencing portion is bent, but is still together.. very risky. Use with extreme caution.

Also, many homeless people are in the park, so if you were alone, it could be also be dangerous for you.
