Lake Lynn Park is a beloved pet-friendly destination in Raleigh, North Carolina, offering scenic hiking and walking trails that circle a beautiful lake teeming with wildlife like turtles and geese. With accessible pathways and plenty of shade, it’s a top choice for dog owners looking for a relaxing stroll or a more vigorous hike. This spot is also popular for picnics, bird watching, and outdoor enjoyment with your four-legged friends.
The park features a well-maintained, mostly shaded loop trail of about 2.4 to 2.8 miles, perfect for dog-walking in all seasons. Parking is easy to find, and accessible entry and parking options make it convenient for everyone. While there isn’t a designated fenced dog park, dogs are allowed on-leash throughout Lake Lynn’s pet-friendly trails, enjoying the green surroundings alongside plenty of other walkers, joggers, and nature lovers.
Beautiful park , the loop is around 2.4miles ! Easy to park your car ! I recommend
Peaceful and quiet place. It’s a good place for cycling, running or just walking while enjoying the greenery views around. It’s long trails so better to bring water to hydrate yourself along the way. It’s easy to find the parking as well. Pretty much a good park with beautiful lake and lots of turtles, geese and wildlife.
Very nice walking path around the lake. Lots of wildlife and people so we felt very safe.
Review of the 2.8 mile greenway trail. A beautiful circuit walk in the shade of trees after an initial tenth of a mile in the sun from the parking lot. Excellent for bird watching or observing turtles sunning themselves on logs in the shallow sections. Pack in your own water.
I visit Lake Lynn on my lunch break for a nice 2 mile stroll midday. It’s absolutely gorgeous, well kept and the wildlife is always a delight! Highly recommend!
