Brookhaven Nature Park

Brookhaven Nature Park is a charming, wheelchair accessible city park featuring multiple shaded trails through woods, a small marsh, and wildflower areas. It offers a peaceful setting with picnic tables and grassy spaces perfect for dogs and families. While the park is well-maintained and kid-friendly, visitors should note concerns about homeless encampments on some trails. Overall, it’s a lovely, nature-rich spot suitable for leisurely dog walks, hikes, and outdoor picnics.
Reviews
Disorganized trails, small, and signage that is irrelevant. There is NO lake, but a small, overgrown pond. This does sit behind a School and is adjacent to many neighborhoods. This seems more like a neighborhood park and not trails.
The biggest concern is the homeless population living on the trails. One person ran in their tent and peaked at us through the opening as we walked by.
I would never return here
Don’t worry about the park saying the board walk is closed, as it is only a small part of the park Really well kept park with a nice picnic table setup. These aren’t woods you’ll get lost in but you do get a nice few glimpses of being fully surrounded by trees. It was also cool to see the handicap access and pavement trails to provide nice options.
small beautiful city park with small marsh and wild flowers. grassy area great for dogs. the back end of the park has a wood area with trail and creek access.
3 nice trails in the woods. 90% shaded so not too hot. Bo loves it too
Visiting and staying at a nearby hotel, came here to walk my dog. Pretty trails, nice bridges and streams. Really a lovely area. If we lived here we’d spend a lot of time here.
